The Moving Map: a blog of great, world-wide importance. Perhaps the most important blog since 'The Flood', (not that "The Flood" was a blog, but you understand my point). The 'Moving Map' is a reference to the ever changing space we are all are in, as the world flies through a universe we are near wholly ignorant of. Much of the Past has yet to be written, and all of the Future is yet to be....
Christopher you are the Keenest guy in the Bloghood I have found! This is a subject I have wondered and pondered on and You Sir have brought to focus for me a better understanding to the view of this problem that has caused a great downfall to a wonderful governing system now sadly shamefully hanging on by a thread. Forgive me for asking a wondering question. But why and how did We the People become so blind and ignorant to allow this to happen?
Well thank you so much Horsesaytheresay. I have thought about why this nation, this world, has gone the way it has; has always gone the way it has. So many reasons but to take them all and put them in the sifter and see what stays in after all the smaller reasons have fallen through the holes I believe it comes down to an old and simple fact of the human being: it's a simple matter of social cowardice. The people follow the people. Independent thinking is as rare as the lightning striking during a cloudless, sunlit sky. It happens in small places and in small ways and though they do not do great evil, they do small evils; they molest constitutions 'for the good of the whole', they break their own laws 'for reasons of good (a subjective goodness, of course)', and here and there, and over time, it all becomes corrupt, gradually and most assuredly. They tack on a billion dollars to develop a bomb, and make an enemy of a nation that really was not one before, so that the bomb will have a reason. One bomb leads to two bombs to a million bombs to a trillion dollars to 14 trillion.... from small to big. FEAR AND IGNORANCE. IGNORANCE CAUSED BY FEAR, FEAR CAUSED BY IGNORANCE. THE OLD AND VICIOUS CIRCLE OF MAN'S MIND. so many variations of it. MOST OF IT ENGINEERED BY A GOVERNMENT THAT GROWS ALL BY ITSELF AFTER A CERTAIN POINT. man becomes a prosecutor or a senator or a cop and he becomes emboldened and ambitious for not only his present power but for future power. NOTHING can come between him and his power. so they corrupt the system in little ways and big. it is a virus that spreads and infects and destroys liberties. this ambition for power.... it is a virus. it is inherent in the human animal. as the species is yet, there is no known antidote.
